We redesigned the Enel App to help Italians easily monitor their energy consumption and manage their monthly payments, also giving them the opportunity to save money by launching Enel’s new loyalty program, Enelpremia WOW!

Problem
Part of the Enel multinational energy group, Enel Energia is the largest power company in Italy, serving more than 30 million Italian customers. With more and more customers wanting to be conscious about their spending habits, there’s an ever-increasing demand for Apps and programs that can help users track their energy consumption and save money.
Solution
We redesigned the Enel App: an app completely dedicated to Enel customers able to converge—in a single touchpoint—the management of their own supplies, household payments, monitoring of consumption, and the possibility of participating in an Enel Loyalty program. The loyalty program we created was called Enelpremia WOW! because, with this loyalty program—available both on the website and on the app—we wanted to make the experience of Enel customers even more engaging. Cue the wow-effect: through ever-changing gamification activities, the customer enjoys receiving weekly discount coupons, participating in prize contests, and having discounts on their supply. Thanks to the use of agile methodology and our continuous collaboration with Enel over the years, we were able to work fast—getting the app and loyalty program online in just 5 months. Yet another reason to say, WOW!
