We revealed what makes Italy unique through the digital storytelling and design of Google’s local About Us page, showing how their tools and products empower the development of the Italian ecosystem.
Our partnership with Google is born with this goal: to show how its digital tools and products are intertwined with Italian peculiarities to develop the country's potential by leveraging its features.
Italy is a country rich in excellence, but with so much potential yet to be explored, especially in the digital field. Products, tools, and technologies provided by Google ensure that this potential is expressed in all its strength and value.
We needed to tell the story of Google’s contribution to the cultural, economic and social growth of Italy and to a better future for all: public administrations, businesses, and people.
We worked on the design and original content for the section that communicates the local presence of Google and its desire to empower the digital development of the Italian ecosystem.
Our starting points were the analysis and research of the contents: mapping all the best practices in UX research as well as visual and corporate communication, then setting up the main interactions between the existing components.
We held a workshop to co-create our story: starting from the basis of the creative idea generation process. Designers, copywriters, marketing managers: all of them interacted with each other and made interactive ideas and sketches.
The prototype we created to rationalize the results of the workshop was validated through qualitative interviews both by internal Google stakeholders and users.
At the end of this interview phase, we utilized the feedback to improve the experience and integrate it into the final release.
The Google Italy page we released at the end of the project was more than a digital product: it was a shared story, written by Italians for Italians.
